Robots need information about their environment to understand in which state they are. I have developed a sensor for Lego Mindstorms that helps their understanding of their position. The sensor is hacked from an optical mouse that communicates with an Arduino microcontroller.

A Lego Mindstorms casing was developed in 3D CAD with SolidWorks and printed with rapid prototyping.
